Opera is a sparkling wine house that was born in the Val di Cembra, terroir of excellence for the Trento DOC.
Opera stands on the foundations of the historic Napoleone Rossi winery, the oldest in the Valley, and is the result of an impressive architectural recovery and expansion project: a jewel set among the daring terraced vineyards that distinguish this wonderful area of Trentino.
The Valle di Cembra, a daring landscape of terraced vineyards overlooking the Avisio stream, is known and recognized for its vocation for the production of Trento DOC base wines: here, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, have found over time a particular climatic and pedological adaptability.
Taking a quick look at the wines, Opera produces Opera Brut, a Millesimato Blanc de Blancs, obtained with Chardonnay grapes, coming from vineyards over 500 meters above sea level in the Cembra Valley, Opera Riserva Nature, Trento DOC obtained from the scrupulous harvest of Chardonnay grapes. from a selected vineyard at 650 meters above sea level on the slopes of Monte Corona in the Val di Cembra, Opera Nature, a Trento DOC Millesimato, obtained by vinifying the Chardonnay grapes from the vineyards at 500 meters above sea level in the Cembra Valley. The fine and persistent "perlage" is an expression of the long stay on the lees: over 60 months, Opera Rosè, obtained from Pinot Noir (45%) and Chardonnay (55%) grapes and aged on the lees for over 48 months and finally Opera Blanc, a white Trento DOC Millesimato obtained only from Pinot Noir grapes (Blanc de Noirs) from the terraces of the Cembra Valley.
